Church Declared St Thomas Church Sunderland as a New Parish in
North East England. The service was held at St Josephs R.C
Church, Millfield, Sunderland on 5th Jan 2008. Many Dignitaries
attended the Declaration Ceremony.

Smith, Rev. Fr. Chris Jackson, Vicar St. Mary’s Church
Sunderland, Rev. Fr. Gordon Ryan, Vicar St Joseph’s church,
Millfield, Mr. Paul Dixon, Millfield Ward Councillor, Fr. Happy
Jacob, Vicar St. Thomas orthodox Church, and Fr. Baby Mathews
Spoke during the occasion.
Dr. Samuel gave the welcome
speech, Mr. Praveen Thomas felicitated the Guests and Dr. Mohan
Thomas gave the vote of thanks. Miss Neethu who compeered the
programme and Mr Xavier Desilva Spellbound with his musical
talent of singing the choir. Many Believers and Well-Wishers
from the Sunderland, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Durham,
Gateshead, South Shields and other neighbouring places attended
the function.
